1. HUMOR U TIP #182 – Summer Sizzles... Do You?

By Ann Fry

Summer is here… in all its hot, sizzling, sweaty glory. Don’t know about you, but the Northeast is hot, steamy, muggy and rainy. Makes a person downright irritable. Ever notice how we complain about the cold, can’t wait for the warm and then complain about that? We’re never happy.

How about we BE happy… no matter what? What to do? Here are some thoughts/tips: get a cool water bottle for your desk, decorate it and keep it full, put ice cubes on someone’s desk… just for fun (in a glass, of course), buy everyone in your neighboring cubes (no pun intended) one of those little hand electric fans, take splash breaks on break, splash yourself with cold water to chase away the red face heat… and most importantly … don’t overdo it on the outside basketball court. If your company has inside games (foosball or pool tables)… stay inside.

For real—be creative. Get a group of co-workers and establish the “Summer Fun” committee—come up with awesome, cool ideas and send out a sheet of events for the entire company to do.

Stay cool!!!

Truth: People just want to work for GREAT companies and GREAT managers. They want workplace "CULTURES THAT WORK". Can you say... PROFIT?
