1. HUMOR U TIP #163 – Gobble Gobble |
By Ann Fry How about a couple of fun ideas for Thanksgiving? Read on. The purpose of Thanksgiving … duh, it's Be Thankful! So, how can we be thankful at work? We could actually have a day called: Be Thankful Day. We could encourage everyone to write notes to those at work that inspire them, that make them laugh, that appreciate them, that they appreciate. Those notes could be emails or hand-written ones. They could be put in envelopes and decorated with crayons and have sequence or whatever glued on them. Then, they can be delivered by someone dressed up in a turkey suit (or not). Those notes will "make someone's day!" Imagine being the person at work who gets the most. There could even be a reward for that. He or she could be awarded with something special – something that shows appreciation – like a gift certificate for a massage or a 1/2 day at a Spa or tickets to a special game. You could decorate your offices/cubes, dress up in Thanksgiving outfits (you know pilgrims, turkeys, stuffing, whatever). Here's another idea. You could have an essay contest and ask everyone to contribute their essay about How to Make Thanksgiving Fun. Then, distribute all the ideas/essays to everyone. Have a great, thankful Thanksgiving! Truth: People just want to work for GREAT companies and GREAT managers. If you make them laugh and keep them happy, they'll "blow the lid" off their productivity and produce breakthrough results! 3. MOVIE RECOMMENDATIONS |
Since humor, laughter and FUN are our game, we LOVE movies as a source for those feelings. So, whenever we see a movie that we think is really fun or silly or otherwise worthy of recommendation, we'll cover it here. Movies, by the way, are great "therapy" — a great way to get away from stress and the busy world.
